This is a free, in-person, instructor-led, 2-hour seminar to be held at the Prima Italian Steakhouse, in Brownwood, The Villages, FL.

Insurance carriers continue to offer new annuity products to suit the needs of customers. This seminar will describe some of these new products and present what we believe to be the best annuities at this time. The seminar will also describe how these annuities compare to other investments such as mutual funds and which offer asset protecting from market declines and creditors.

The seminar will also review annuity basics including the different types of annuities. It will explain how annuities work and the terms and features you should know. It will describe some of the “do’s and don’ts”, explore riders, index measurement and crediting options, taxation, best ways to fund, and other important elements to consider when selecting an annuity. It will address the costs associated with annuities including surrender charges and free withdraw opportunities. The seminar will also describe how you, your agent, and the insurance carriers make money from annuities.

The presenters are: 1) Olivia Wooten, a Florida licensed Certified Annuity Specialist; and 2) Jim McArdle, a former practicing CPA and a Certified Annuity Specialist. Jim is also a Certified Tax Specialist with a Master’s Degree in Taxation. He holds insurance licenses in Florida and various other states and a Series 6 securities license so he can advise and sell mutual funds and all types of annuities including Fixed, Fixed-index, Variable and Registered Index-linked products.
